Based on our years of experience in developing software for electronic medical records, we have created an application dedicated to veterinary clinics. VetFile, as the new program is called, will streamline the work of veterinarians and enable the use of telemedicine solutions in the treatment of animals.
Developed by Biostat, Medfile software is today one of the most popular applications for electronic medical record keeping. It is used by doctors' offices and clinics. Integrated with Medfile is the HaloDoctor telemedicine platform, which is used by thousands of patients every day.
Now Biostat's developers have decided to use their experience in developing MedFile and HaloDoctor applications and have created a program for veterinary clinics called VetFile. The application is in the testing phase. It is already known that it will contain, among other things, modules for: managing patients and their owners, maintaining electronic medical records, visualizing animal ailments (the so-called "draftsman"), managing medicines and the warehouse, and handling payments. Veterinarians will also be able to create their facilities' websites in the domain and on the VetFile platform. The program will also enable online appointments, which will open up the possibility for veterinarians to treat animals remotely.
- We predict that remote veterinary services will become commonplace in the near future, and veterinarians will need reliable digital solutions to manage their practice, according to Rafal Piszczek - CEO of Biostat.

Szymon Błąkała - head of the IT department at Biostat - adds that the overriding goal for Biostat's development team was to create a user-friendly application.
- I will immodestly say that we are dealing with a complex, advanced tool for veterinary practices, and at the same time the VetFile interface is very easy and intuitive to use, says Szymon Błąkała.

VetFile is being developed as a product for global markets. Standards for treating animals around the world are similar. VetFile will thus be available in most countries of the world in the coming years in multiple language versions.
